Since the initial years, Moris Rasik has always been committed to give rural poor women access to credit and savings services, to increase the income, assets and welfare of their households.
Moris Rasik became sustainable over a period of time and continues t provide this access to finance for poor women. In reaching this point, Moris Rasik completed several milestones. Here is a gist of them:
Year 2000 | Commenced operations in Maliana (Bobanaro District) with the first branch and five centres opened in Kailaku with just two staff and board of directors 2002 Head Office moved to Covalima with five Head Office staff and 11 Field Officers and 80 centres in operation. |

Year 2005 | During this year the UN International Year of Microcredit, MR was visited by esteemed micro-credit pioneer Professor Mohamed Yunus (Grameen Bank, Bangladesh); MR celebrated its fifth anniversary with all staff and board and Donors. |
Year 2006 | Head Office moved to Aileu, during this year MR expanded their operations and now had branches/units and centres in each of the 13 districts of Timor-Leste. |
Year 2010 | Moris Rasik had 12063 clients, 121 staff and 570 centers in operation. Head Office was moved to Dili, the capital city of Timor-Leste. |
Year 2015 | Catching up with the latest technology, Moris Rasik has successfully implemented cloud-based Management Information System to capture the transactions across all branches of Timor-Leste on a real-time basis. Moris Rasik continues to be sustainable. |
Year 2017 | Moris Rasik reached Loan portfolio of $7.3 Million with the strength of 152 staff, had 14 Branches and 778 centers in operation. |
